Tips to Get Prima Generator Set
The first step in the operation of generator always check and confirm:
- Conditions and amount of oil-lubricant used must match that specified
- Fuel (gasoline, diesel, or LPG) must be adequacy and suitability
- Connection and condition of accu / battery (for which using an electric starter)
- Condition and adequacy of refrigeration/coolant in the radiator (it usually use type above 5 kVA)
- Load cables connected to the network/load
- MCB electric switch/breaker load in off position
- MCB electric switch/breaker electricity in off position
- Generator-Turn On Procedure:
A.For gasoline gensets:
- Position of engine switch is on
- Position of choke is on
- Turn on the gas generator and using the setting of gas so that the start condition is stable
B.For diesel gensets:
- Position the ignition key is on and let it for a moment
- Check the voltage on a display 12 V or 24 V (depending on the batteries needed)
- Turn on the generator by turning the ignition key in start position
- Let the unit turn on without the burden for ± 5-10 minutes so that the rotation will be stable -Position of the switch-MCB/breaker loading is on
- Generator shut down procedure:
- Position the switch-MCB/breaker load is off
- Allow for ± 5 minutes even if the spin will be stable and spent disposal gas
- Position engine switch is off(for the type of gasoline) or setting a key contact in off (for type diesel)
For a longer lifetime of the generator, note the following points:
- Time for preheating. Allow the engine turn on for ± 5-10 first minute after the start, this is necessary for stable rotation.
- Loading. We recommend using 80% of the maximum loading capacity in order to ensure that no over load occurs when there is a mild shock loads -Lubrication. Replace lubricant after 20 hours of the first and each subsequent 100 hours
- Warm-up for treatment. Run generator at least once a week for ± 5-20 minutes to maintain accu condition and lubrication within the engine unit
- Air circulation. Set up the unit at a place with good air circulation or add a exhaust fan to prevent overheating in the generator.
